What we fix
Impact Window & Door Service
Hurricane-rated glass -- windows and heavy-duty doors -- inspected, sealed, and adjusted.
What it looks like
A window or a heavier impact-rated slider that won't lock flush anymore, a seal that's failed and let moisture in between panes, hardware that's stiffened or seized under the extra glass weight, or a general storm-season check to make sure the impact rating is still doing its job.
Why call a door specialist instead of a general handyman
Impact-rated glass and its hardware are engineered as a system -- the frame, seal, and locking hardware all have to work together to hold the rating -- and impact doors carry significantly more glass weight than a standard slider, which wears rollers and track differently. A specialist checks the whole system and uses parts actually rated for that weight, not just whichever part is making noise.
What the visit involves
Inspection of the frame, seal integrity, and locking hardware -- with a weight-aware check on doors -- adjustment or heavy-duty hardware replacement as needed, and confirmation that the window or door locks and seals the way it's designed to.
